Burhan Eren

Burhan is a dynamic, well-rounded family lawyer with extensive experience in all areas of family law including divorce, property settlement, child support, spousal maintenance, parenting and custody.

Having recently joined Cohen Lawyers as the Head of Family Law, Burhan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to provide clients with a personalised service to suit their individual needs. He assists his clients through difficult times and ensures they clearly understand processes, laws and their case strategies so they can make informed choices.

Burhan previously worked in a Melbourne CBD based law firm, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of family law including complex property settlements and financial agreements for a large variety of clientele including high net worth individuals as well as parenting disputes involving parental alienation and family violence.

Burhan has worked at the Family Court of Australia and in the legal department of National Australia Bank. As a result, Burhan has an in-depth understanding of court process, procedure, and rules.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Outside of work, Burhan likes to spend time with his family and friends. He’s also a keen traveller and has an interest in a variety of sports.
